What F06 Means
Whirlpool lists F06 as a possible problem with the electronic control or the associated wiring on older Whirlpool ranges. As with F03 and F04, it identifies the control side rather than a sensor or a heating component.
Common Causes of F06
- Electronic control board failure
- Loose or heat-damaged connector
- Supply disturbance
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Let the oven cool, then cut power at the breaker for five minutes and restore it. Try a normal bake setting afterwards. If the code returns, arrange service; note whether it appears immediately on setting a temperature or only once the oven has been heating for a while, because that distinction is useful diagnostic information.
