🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Let the oven cool completely before doing anything - if a self-clean cycle was interrupted the cavity stays dangerously hot for over an hour and the lock is meant to stay engaged until it cools. Leave the power on while it cools, because most models release the lock automatically once the cavity temperature drops. Never force a locked oven door or lever the latch. Once cool, check the latch area for spill residue or foil and wipe it clean, then cut power at the breaker for five minutes and restore it. If the latch still will not move, or the code stays on a cool oven, book a technician.
