What F2E1 Means
On a Whirlpool wall oven, F2E1 indicates a possible problem with the user interface or keypad, the control, or the associated wiring. On a built-in the control panel sits directly above the door, where rising steam from the open cavity reaches it every time the door is opened on a hot oven.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Let the oven cool. Wipe the panel with a barely damp cloth and dry it thoroughly - and never spray cleaner directly at it. Get into the habit of waiting a minute before opening the door on a hot oven, so the first rush of steam is not driven straight up into the panel. Reset at the breaker for five minutes. If keys still misbehave, the panel needs replacing by a technician.
