What FCE7 Means
Whirlpool documents FC E7 as the appliance not connecting to your router, and FC E8 as a registration error - specifically, if the SAID number was entered incorrectly, "Registration Error" appears and the number should be entered again.
Common Causes of FCE7
- SAID number typed incorrectly during registration
- Router offline or credentials changed
- Weak signal at the appliance
- Account or app setup not completed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
For FC E8, find the SAID number (your manual has a SAID Location section showing where it is printed on the appliance) and enter it again carefully - the characters are easy to misread. For FC E7, confirm the router is online and the password is correct, then re-run setup. Power the range down at the breaker for a minute if the app keeps timing out. Neither code affects cooking.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- None - this is app and network setup.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
