What FEE7 Means
FEE7 is documented as a possible problem with the main cavity broil element or the associated wiring. The broil element is the upper element used for grilling and for the top heat in some cycles.
Common Causes of FEE7
- Failed broil element
- Terminal or wiring failure at the element
- Relay fault on the broil circuit
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Let the oven cool, then inspect the upper element visually for breaks, blisters or scorch marks - without touching it. Cut power at the breaker for five minutes and restore. Test broil briefly: if the element does not glow evenly or does not glow at all, it needs replacing by a technician. Do not run self-clean with a suspect element, since that cycle puts maximum load on it.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Direct 240 volt connections at the element terminals.
- An arcing element can damage the cavity liner.
