What F0E4 Means
F0E4 means the washer is sensing incoming water that is hotter than the cycle expects. The most common reason is that the hot and cold inlet hoses are swapped, so a cold or cool cycle is being fed hot water. It can also appear if a household water heater is set unusually high.

- Water heater set far above the usual household setting
- Water temperature sensor or valve reporting incorrectly
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn off both water valves at the wall before touching anything - the hoses are under pressure. Then check which hose is on which inlet: the hot (red) hose belongs on the hot (red) valve and the cold (blue) hose on the cold (blue) valve, at both the wall and the back of the washer. Swapped hoses are the usual answer after a new installation or a move. Re-open the valves slowly and check for drips. If the hoses are correct, have the water heater temperature checked rather than dismantling the washer.
