A code on a display is a starting point, not a diagnosis. Across Whirlpool platforms and generations the same code family can mean different things depending on the control board fitted, and a code naming a sensor is very often caused by a corroded connector, a chafed harness or the board driving that circuit rather than the sensor itself.
