What H Means
Whirlpool explains that if "H" appears on the display, the cooking zone is hot. It lights even if the zone has not been activated but has been heated - for example by a hot pan moved from another zone. It is a safety indicator, not a fault.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Nothing needs fixing. Keep hands and heat-sensitive items off that zone until the H clears on its own as the glass cools. This is worth explaining to anyone in the household who assumes an induction surface is always cool: the glass under a hot pan absorbs heat from the pan itself, and can burn.
