What F1E3 Means
Whirlpool states that an F1E3 code in the display indicates there may be an issue with the control unit or the associated wiring. The published owner procedure is a restart attempt followed by a full power-down; nothing more specific is released about which component is at fault.

- Loose or damaged connector in the control harness
- Supply disturbance latching the control
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
First try Whirlpool's own sequence: touch Power, select a cycle, then press and hold Start to see whether the dryer runs. If it will not, unplug the dryer or switch its breaker off for a minute, restore power and watch for a minute. If F1E3 returns, book a diagnosis. Do not open the console looking for a loose plug - the control area carries mains voltage and the boards are easy to damage with static.
