What F6E2 Means
Whirlpool lists F6E2 as an alert that there is an issue with the appliance control unit, the user interface, or the associated wiring. The two boards are not talking to each other reliably.

Cut the power at the outlet or breaker for five minutes and restore it - that is the only step Whirlpool publishes for an owner, and it does clear codes caused by a supply glitch. Watch the machine for a minute afterwards. If the code returns, have it diagnosed; a communication fault can be a connector, a harness or a board, and only a technician can tell which without guessing.
